Tadaa-bandhah-yadaa-chittam-kinchit-vaanchhti-
shochti-kinchit-munchti-grahah-nhhaati-
kinchit-harshyati-kupyati/8,1/.
Tadaa =
then, bandhah = affection, yadaa = when,
chitam =
the knowledge of thought of the brain,
kinchit
= something, vaanchhti = desires,
shochti = is afflicted, kinchit = something,
munchti = rejections, grahahnhhaati = accepts,
kinchit = something, harshyati = think the
pleasure,
kupyati
= think annoyed.
Bondage is when the mind longs for
something,
grieves about something, rejects something,
holds on to something, is pleased about
something
or displeased about something. 8.1

Tadaa-mukatih-yadaa-chittam-Na-vaanchhti-Na-shochti-
Na-munchti-Na-grahati-Na-harashyati-Na-kupyati/8,2/.
Tadaa = then, mukati = release, yadaa = when,
chitam =
the knowledge of thought of the brain,
Na = not,
vaanchhti = desire, Na = not,
shochti = is afflicted, Na = not, munchti =
rejections,
Na =
not, grahnhhati = accepts, Na = not,
harashyati = thinks the pleasure,
Na = not, kupyati = thinks annoyed.
Liberation is when the mind does
not long for anything,
grieve about anything, reject anything,
or hold on to anything, and is not
pleased about anything
or displeased about anything. 8.2

drushtishu-tadaa-mokashah-yadaa-chittam-
aasaktam-sarav-drushtishu/8,3/.
Tadaa =
then, bandh = affection, yadaa = when,
chitam =
thought knowledge of the brain,
saktam = has affected, kasuupi = of anything,
dhushitshu = to feel the experiment, tadaa =
then,
mokasho
= released, yadaa = when,
chitam = thought knowledge of the brain,
aasaktam = unchanged, sarav = all,
dhushitshu = to feel the experiment.
Bondage is when the mind is
tangled in one of the senses,
and liberation is when the mind is not tangled
in any of the senses. 8.3

Yadaa-Na-aham-tadaa-mokashah-yadaa-aham-
bandhanam-tadaa-matvaa-iti-haelyaa-kinchit
-maa-grahaan-vimunch-maa/8,4/.
Yadaa =
when, Na = not, aham = individual aspect of life,
tadaa = then, mokashah = released, yadaa =
when,
aham = the individual aspect of life, bandhanam
= affection,
tadaa = then, matvaa = considering the
judgment,
eti = thus, haelyaa = easily, kinchit =
something,
maa = not, garhaanhh = accepts,
vimunch = rejections of, maa = not.
When there is no "me"
that is liberation,
and when there is "me"
there is bondage.
Considering this earnestly, do not
hold on
and do not reject. 8.4
